I really loved tofu, especially baked tofu. If you’ve never had tofu or think that it is bland, wait until you try this! Baked tofu has an awesome texture and…yeah, I’m saying this…mouthfeel. It is very versatile, put it in curries, salads, stir fry, sandwiches, tacos, make them into tofu fries, etc.
Hope you enjoy this recipe.
Ingredients
- Tofu
- Olive oil
- Optional:
- This is your time to shine and bring whatever flavor you want. If I’m adding this to curries I won’t add anything, I’ll just toss it with oil and bake, but if you want to add some flavors try this on top of the olive oil:
- Curry powder OR
- Soy sauce OR
- Salt and pepper OR
- Ginger, sweet paprika, cinnamon, saffron, turmeric, and cayenne
- My suggestion? Think of flavors from other dishes that you like and toss that with the tofu

Directions
- Set oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
- This step is VERY important, dry the tofu as much as you can. I squeezed it (gently, because you don’t want it to crumble) then used paper towels to absorb the moisture
- Toss it in olive oil and any additional spices you want
- Place on baking sheet with parchment paper (so it doesn’t stick)
- Bake for 30 minutes, flipping it in the middle
- The last step: set it to broil for 5 minutes, flip it over, then broil for another 3 minutes
- Done! Tonight, I used this for a curry dish
