Well, maybe always is an exaggeration, but the point here is, you should always be on time…yeah, I think you see where this is going…I woke up with plenty of time to get to the train station, but I just lounged around. I did make it to the train with 2 minutes to spare, so no time to grab any food 😦
So, the 3.5 hour train ride until the next stop is going to suck a little…they do sell food on the train, but it’s a bit higher in price and not as delicious as the bento boxes I could get at the train station. Fortunately, there is a 20-minute stop at Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto station.
I ended up getting a bento box at the station…actually…I might end this post here. I didn’t do much, I took the train to Tokyo, went to a Meetup and came back to my hotel. The only interesting thing to note is that I went to Shibuya crossing, I tried a burger (which if you’re American, the burger was sort of weird) that was essentially a teriyaki burger with lettuce and cream cheese, and I’m not sure what the big deal is about Shibuya crossing…I mean…yes…there are a lot of people…but the crossing itself isn’t as big as it looks on TV.
