It has been a really long time since I’ve last posted. It isn’t because I haven’t thought of it, I just haven’t made the time for it. So much has happened since June! Towards the end of June I got laid off from my job, took a 2.5 week tour of UK followed by a 1 week lay about in Hawaii, started my new job a week later, then had my egg implantation in late August.
Needless to say, it’s been a super busy 6 months. I’m happy to say my implantation was successful and we will be expecting a baby girl in May!
My title of this post is sort of a joke…I’m NOT a poster child for a typical pregnancy. My pregnancy has been really easy, I’ve had none of the “usual symptoms” like nausea, moodiness, increased urination (not yet anyway and I’m at 25 weeks), etc. The only symptom I experienced in my first trimester was being super tired to the point I couldn’t really work out. Aside from that, it’s been great! I’ve only gained 3lbs so far, I’ve been eating normal…I thought I’d eat more? The further along I’ve gone in this pregnancy I have actually ate a little less because I feel full really early.
The most stressful part of this pregnancy has been all the tests I’ve had to take since I’m over 35. Those additional tests have all come back great, so as far as we know our baby is healthy…and she is a mover! Now that I’m further along it’ been great getting feedback from her with her squirming, kicking/punching, rotating, stretching…lol…I can feel it all.
With less than 15 weeks left I’m just focused on getting her room ready. So far I’ve crocheted 3 blankets, 2 hats, and 2 pairs of booties…
I’ll try to post more often, especially since I’ve been baking a lot more. I’ve made scones, muffins, cookies, galettes…soo much baking! Baking has always been a stress reliever for me so I’ll work on making sure I share my recipes as well.
