Father’s Day dinner was Korean BBQ. The best thing about going with my family is that mom usually orders everything and it’s just a neverending supply of meat to grill.
If you’ve never had Korean BBQ, the thing I liked best about this place is the number of banchan (반찬) they serve.
Key Tips:
- This is in Tacoma, so if you’re in Seattle, this is a bit of a drive and you can enjoy Korean BBQ from other places, I also enjoy Palace in Bellevue as you get all you can eat for about $20/person
- Location of Gangnam
- Meats my mom ordered: beef ribs, beef brisket (cook these until they get nice and crispy), spicy pork bulgogi, and bulgogi.
- Don’t eat the rice…it’ll just fill you up 😉
Vibe: | It’s a pretty large restaurant and every table has a BBQ in the center so you have the option to do BBQ or something else. If you’ve ever eaten at a BBQ your own food place, the vibe is pretty on par with that. |
Cleanliness: | The tables and grill are clean and they will swap out the grill for you as often as needed. |
Service: | The service was not bad, considering there were 8 of us there. They did take forever bringing the water, so I actually got up and got it myself. |
Flavor: | I mean…it’s Korean BBQ…the flavors are good and pretty authentic, from the banchan to the marinades. They were VERY close to how my mom and grandma cooks…and I wouldn’t say that lightly. |
Is it worth it: | Yes! I don’t go there because it’s too far, I only go when my family insists on it. |
