Hello, world…

Yeah, it’s been quite awhile, well over a month! Here I am, writing from Japan, again things have been quite busy with work and personal life…About a month ago I was notified that I would be going to Seoul for work to do a ton of presentations (on topics I’m not super familiar with) so I spent the past few weeks doing a few things:

  1. Stop practicing Japanese…I was getting Korean and Japanese words mixed up in sentences so my sentences would be in part Korean and part Japanese :-/
  2. Watch only Korean television as well as listen to Korean music
  3. Prep for the presentations I would be giving

I just wanted to post this quick post and check in…life has been busy…(btw, from here on it may be too much information…) I’ve also been trying to get pregnant and that has been a bit of painful struggle. My husband and I have resorted to going to a fertility clinic and have gone through two unsuccessful iterations of IUI (intrauterine insemination) and I wouldn’t say that I’m a very emotional individual, but it has been a surprisingly sad experience for me. I didn’t realize how much I wanted to have a kid until those two attempts. The hardest part is waiting two weeks to see if you get your period and then being hopeful when you’re late. The only time in my life that I have ever wished to not get it…lol…

Anyhow…I am currently on the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Niigata and need to work on my book…another thing that has unfortunately fallen to the wayside as I’ve been busy with work. Until next time, my friends.
